U.C.A. College of Paramedical Sciences established in 1998, are conducting Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T) Degree course affiliated to and recognised by The Government of Tamil Nadu under Health and Family Welfare Department. The college has been conducting the BPT course for the past 30 years since 1994.
Physiotherapy plays a major role in Rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities. Physiotherapy is also important in Rehabilitation of Sports Injuries and Orthopaedics, Traumatology, Neurology, Cardio Respiratory, Oncology, Paediatrics, Geriatrics, Plastic Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery, Rheumatology, Obstetrics and Gynaecological conditions.
The Institution ensures, exposure to the students in the current trends in Physiotherapy. Students are sent for clinical training to the Madras Medical Mission Hospital, M.G.M Hospitals, Mercury Hospital, Venkateswara Hospital, Billroth Hospitals, Mehta Hospitals, Sparrc Institute, Gremaltes Hospital, S.M.F Hospital and Indian Red Cross Society Hospital and other super speciality hospitals.




Besides, the full time Physiotherapy faculties who are eminent persons in their fields, we also have a distinguished team of visiting faculties who are Professors in reputed private Medical Colleges and retired Professors from Government Medical Colleges. Demonstration and teaching of Anatomy consists of Dissected Human Body (Cadaveric) done by the Professor of Anatomy. Postgraduate Physiotherapy Teachers and Physiotherapists with rich teaching experience are teaching the students. Modern teaching facilities are provided to update the students’ knowledge.

ENSEMBLE –a Continuing Education Program in Physiotherapy is a National Level Conference held once in a year and is very well known among the peers.
There is an active Journal Club and 10 publications in Scopus Indexed Journals and Web of Science indexed journals.
